The Best Selling Pattern

The Best Selling Pattern

Some people have a natural talent for selling, others are good students who are willing to learn and then go on to become great sales people.

Then there are the 2 other groups of people; those who absolutely dread the thought of having to use a sales pitch and the second group whose whole world revolves around sales; they have the gift... this group of people could 'sell ice to an Eskimo!'

But just back up and think about it for a moment; everyone sells something every day and we do it without even thinking or knowing that we're selling! The actual process of selling happens every time we ask someone to do something for us i.e. we have to get people to agree, we have to get their 'buy in' - that is selling!

In Internet Marketing it is amazing to see some genuine and really good people, with excellent products who have no idea how to sell. At the other end of the spectrum there are many who have a 'natural flair' of persuasion. A lot of them have little or no knowledge of their product but they make money although their unethical behaviours leave a lot to be desired.

I was also amazed at all the information there is on the internet that teaches people 'how to sell' in a stereotypical way; everyone seems to know HOW and WHAT to do but very few people ACT in this way to deliver results.

1. To become a better seller you first of all need to become an ordinary seller, or a simple seller...

Nobody was born the best seller in the world, not me nor you nor FORD... all began with a goal... like I want to be a seller, I want to sell, I think like a seller, I already am a seller, I just made a sale etc.

So stop thinking you are no good at this selling game just because you have been 'promoting' your product and have yet to make a sale. We have all been there at one time, everyone has been there without exception.

Everyone starts out as a simple seller, learns new skills and develops into a better seller over time. My message is 'don't stop, keep learning how to be a better seller. Watch how successful people do it and learn'

2. To become a better seller at micro jobs sites you need to firstly be a simple buyer at micro jobs sites.

Yes, you'll spend a little money as a buyer, but let's face it when did $5 ever break anyone's bank? Think about the logic here for a minute. If you start buying from your competitors at the micro job sites, what better way is there for you to see how your competitors are doing and compare it to what you are offering?

How else can you REALLY spy on your competition for just $5? This allows you to 'up your game' and make sure you are delivering the BEST service before others who have read this article here do the same to you!!!!

By doing this, it allows you to remain at the top of your game, always giving your customers great value and 'cutting edge' service...

3. To become a better seller you'll need to ACT (sell, buy and create) at ALL micro jobs sites like fiverr

Use lots of them and not just fiverr. I don't know who you are, where you live or how your life is, but please forget for a while about online selling and let's talk a little about off line selling.

Let's say you make amazing cakes, you're a proud baker who amazes people with your gorgeous 'melt in the mouth' cakes...

Who knows about this??? Of course, your family....your friends, your neighbours, people in your immediate area?

Who else???

If I asked you to go outside to your local town centre, set up a stall with your delicious cakes on display and scream at the top of your voice asking people to come and taste, could you? Would you?

Who will hear you?? Ten, few hundred maybe?? Let us compare that to the power of the internet, the actual selling leverage you have online. You can create the same effect of standing in the town centre to thousands of 'virtual town centres' across the globe.

You do all this from the comfort of your own home, your own space just using a laptop or PC! Supposing your amazing cakes were 'marketed' in 10 different town centres in your area then it stands to reason that a lot more people are going to 'taste' then 'buy'.

Think of these micro sites as your school, your education and your learning base from which to become a better seller.

So go ahead and register, login and create value at ALL micro jobs sites. Use the experience of 'buying' at these micro sites to learn how to become the 'best seller' on the internet!

4.To become a better seller, you'll need to know where to promote and advertise your work.

Well I remember few years ago and starting out to do this. I remember thinking this is so easy. I thought, "I know what to do, I just go around the internet, post my affiliate links everywhere I can and I will become very rich".

This may happen and the opportunities online are limitless; micro job sites are becoming more popular than ever before which means you need to remain at the top of your game. New competition is springing up every day I find.

But.............

Please understand a simple true fact. You don't have unlimited TIME. You need to learn quickly the best places to market in. Where is your niche market, where do they hang out? You need to learn social networking, this huge phenomenon that shows no sign of letting up but where everyone hangs out. Facebook and Twitter are the 2 most well known but there are lots more and new ones starting up all the time.

So my advice, and based on my own experiences would be to choose carefully and make a plan based on your time, based on good ranking sites and do this as quickly it is possible.

5. To become a better seller, you'll need to know how to promote and advertise your work.

Again, this was not my basic concern a few years ago... And SPAM was my name...

I had bags of enthusiasm, but how good do you think this was for my own name and that of my business? Not great at all eh?

These are my simple thoughts about behaving ethically when working online. I have learned from my own experiences and it is that knowledge I pass on to you here to make sure you do not make the mistakes I did.

I ask that you use your time wisely. Make sure your marketing efforts are channelled in the right direction and where you are going to have the most exposure to a TARGETED market. There is a difference between a niche industry and a niche market. A niche industry could be FISHING but your niche market could be 'people who want to learn fly-fishing', there is a difference!

Alongside all of this, we must not forget the importance of SEO targeting and the effect this could have on our customers finding us online or not!

As you start out from simple seller, to good seller to AMAZING seller, I wish you the very best of luck. There is a hungry market waiting online for what you have, now use your time wisely and go and find them...
